Surviving Poverty : Can A Meths Candle Cook An Egg Part 4

In Surviving Poverty : Can A Tealight Candle Cook An Egg Part 3 I achieved my result a temperature of 80+ centigrade and a hard boiled egg. The time taken was cut by a third by adding insulation to 2 hours 15 mins. In this video Surviving Poverty : Can A Tealight Candle Cook An Egg Part 4 I've substituted the Tealight Candle for a candle sized Methylated Spirit Burner to try and reduce the cooking time to reach 80 degrees centigrade. My modification was really successful as you will see, if you watch all the video. Background The UK economy is in trouble, normal working people are regularly having to work two or three jobs and shifts in order to bring in sufficient money just to live. The energy crisis caused by the energy companies price hiking with no controls other than 'The Market' ie themselves means that working people are desperate to reduce their energy costs, fuel bills and food bills to try to reduce the increasing amount of debt they are having to take on just to survive. So where does that leave those without jobs, or in such poorly paid zero hours jobs where they find themselves with only a few pennies to spare for heating, lighting, food and cooking or the old on miserably low UK pensions and disabled on benefits, the worst in the free world. It leaves them with nothing. So I've decided to set about finding out what I can achieve with the meagrest of items and over this series of videos I will be doing truthful and repeatable experiments and eating, drinking and staying warm with the outcomes. scenario one: So your in a war zone, you need to stay indoors perhaps in a cellar, you have limited water, only a single small candle and a lighter plus a tiny 250ml pan and one egg stolen from a local chicken. If you like the video please subscribe to the channel, and if you know somebody struggling with poverty, let them know about this series, the things I am learning will have greater significance than just the video and may spark them or yourselves into other ideas.

Surviving Poverty : Can A Tealight Candle Cook An Egg Part 3

In Surviving Poverty : Can A Tealight Candle Cook An Egg Part 2 I achieved my result a temperature of 80+ centigrade and a hard boiled egg. It can be done with patience, you can cook a hard boiled egg, this video shows how. However, it took a very long time to boil the egg a toal of 3 hours 52 mins. In this video Surviving Poverty : Can A Tealight Candle Cook An Egg Part 3 I've made some alterations to the plan in order to try and reduce the cooking time and therefore cut the time the candle is burning. My changes were really successful as you will see, if you watch all the video. Background The UK economy is in trouble, normal working people are regularly having to work two or three jobs and shifts in order to bring in sufficient money just to live. Surviving Poverty : Can A Tealight Candle Cook An Egg Part 2

In Surviving Poverty : Can A Tealight Candle Cook An Egg Part 1 I attempted to heat a small 250ml Turkish Milk Pan with a single Tealight candle to 80 degrees centigrade to hard boil an egg. I didn't manage to do it only achieving 72 degrees and a partly cook boiled egg. In this video Surviving Poverty : Can A Tealight Candle Cook An Egg Part 2 I built on the knowledge from the previous experiment and achieved my result a temperature of 80+ centigrade and a hard boiled egg. It can be done with patience, you can cook a hard boiled egg, this video shows how. Background The UK economy is in trouble, normal working people are regularly having to work two or three jobs and shifts in order to bring in sufficient money just to live. Surviving Poverty 1 Preventing Heat Loss Through Tripod Legs

Whilst carrying out my first experiment to cook a boiled egg from cold using just a small Tealight Candle, I realised that a lot of the heat going into the tripod mesh was being lost heating up the metal tripod legs. So I've come up with a single fix for Preventing Heat Loss Through Tripod Legs. In the next experiment we will be testing this theory, but here is how I did it. Unboxing A Small 250 ml or halt a pint Turkish Copper Bottom Milk Pan

This video is an Unboxing A Small 250 ml or halt a pint Turkish Copper Bottom Milk Pan. Over the coming weeks, months and years, I plan to use it and others in a series experiments. Due to the rise in Fuel Poverty with people not having sufficient income to pay for fuel or energy for cooking, I've decided to look into the minumum that is required to provide cooked food, hot drinks and personal heating. The reason I have gone for this small pan is; its highly conductive copper bottom; its sturdy stainless steel design and its size make it heatable by a low heat sources. My new austerity and survival playlist with be active shortly so make sure you subscribe to @fixed1t for information on all the amazing videos.

Unboxing A Vintage Valtock Spirit Burner And Blowtorch

Unboxing A Vintage Valtock Spirit Burner And Blowtorch This video is an Unboxing A Vintage Valtock Spirit Burner And Blowtorch usually used with Methylated Spirit. I have purchased this to carry out a number of experiments on how somebody with very little money can provide hot food, hot drinks and body heating with the minimal amount of resources or when the electricity and gas has been switched off or temporarily disconnected. This would provide an excellent small cooker in the event of the electricity and gas being cut off or reduced. It can reach very high temperature despite its size. I Hope you like the video and subscribe to the channel so you can check out my money saving and off grid tips as the videos are produced. Malcolm aka

My wifes golf back water proof zip is broken so I ordered this Fiz A Zipper repair pack to try and repair the zipper, as they are really expensive to replace. Fixing Broken Halloween and Christmas And Garden Lights

Fixing Broken Halloween and Christmas And Garden Lights that have been tangled up and pulled apart roughly. There are lots of fancy led lights on sale for Halloween, Christmas or for garden and other parties. Although relatively cheap as a one off they tend to be purchased in bulk and when they are being put away they tend to be thrown in bags or boxes with or within dying or dead batteries inside. For some spooky sub-atomic reason, however carefully they are collected together they always seem to tangle themselves together in such a way as to make the user lose patience trying to pull them apart. This often involves ripping out one or other of the wires from the powerpack in an attempt to untangle them. Such was the fate of these Halloween LED Bat lights and rather than throw them away, this is how I set about fixing them. If you like the video and find it useful, please subscribe to the channel and consider using the Super Thanks Heart under the video to buy me a coffee. Don't forget to check out my other videos, there is lots more more to be saved and problems to be solved. Malcolm aka @fixed1t
