Removing Laser Printer Drum Lines And Marks Quickly

As I've highlighted in many of the descriptions of my  @fixed1t  youtube videos, most of them came about due to a repair I needed to carry out for myself or from the very long list that my wife keeps just for me ;-) a growing and expanding list. One such item was the fact that her laser printer was now putting messy lines, spots and smudges on her laser prints. After running the clean the drum routine (it hardly ever works) she asked me to fix it. So this is me Removing Laser Printer Drum and removing the Lines And Marks quickly and effciently. Althought this video is about a Brother laser printer the same principle applies to laser printer makes. Due to the rise in Fuel Poverty with people not having sufficient income to pay for fuel or energy for cooking, I've decided to look into the minumum that is required to provide cooked food, hot drinks and personal heating. The reason I have gone for this small pan is; its highly conductive copper bottom; its sturdy stainless steel design and its size make it heatable by a low heat sources. Fixing My Flat High Power Lithium Car Emergency Battery Pack - Part 1

In a previous video I showed how I restarted my dead Toyota Auris Hybrid car after not using it during the Covid 19 lockdown. I purchased this power pack to power my telescope rather than lugging a huge battery and torch around and to be able to charge my phone at the same time. The battery dead indeed start my dead car but I forgot to recharge it in the car as I drove. The next time I went to use the battery with the telescope it was dead. Putting it on the charger gave an instant green light, but it was totally dead. If there are no protective circuits in a power pack, they let the lithium cells discharge to far, and the protection circuits cut in and they die, DEAD never to be recharged by the charger. However, after weeks of research and messing about, I've figured out a way to recharge it. If you bought one of these super power packs and its died and its out of the return time, on the supplier from overseas won't help, here os what I did. You must watch Part 1 for Part 2 to fully charge the battery. Doing anything with Lithium batteries can be dangerous and should only be tackled by a crazy competent person like me. In my previous video I showed how to make a home for over 130 bees from a beam off cut that I retrieved from a skip, from a raised bed build. Sadly the holes turned out to be too rough, and although the bees are capable of chewing through concrete and bricks, they were disinclined to climb into the houses rough holes. So in this video I set out to smooth them. As with the previous video I decide to do the main work in time-lapse to a fixed1t crafted version of "flight of the Bumble Bee" I created in Apple Garageband to go with it. Its well worth a watch and a great conservation and green protect to help Bees who are in decline and an endangered species, if they die off so will we! Food waste is a major problem world wide and also waste the people who buy it a huge amount of money. So anything we can do to reduce food waste whilst saving us money is a great thing, right? So here is a tip my wife devised to save us throwing away huge quantities for carrots we never got around to eating before they became inedible.
You may ask why did we buy more than we needed, well its cheaper to buy in bulk than in a few small packets that never seem to have enough in for a weeks shopping. Hi Malcolm, Where did you learn to repair electronics like clocks and this Nintendo console? Did you go to a special school to learn repairs?

Answer From fixed1t:

No I was always interested in dismantling things and putting them back together as a child, I used to ask people for old broken watches and after buying myself watch makers screwdrivers, tweezers, rubber grommets, and oil I'd taken them apart clean them and rebuild them. Then in my early 20s I tried to fix our band 'CIRCUS' guitarist fuzz box and failed badly, so I decided to build myself an analogue synthesiser from scratch from articles I'd seen in magazines on the lines that by the time I had it working I'd know what I was doing.  

As I couldn't afford the PCB's I made my own, and couldn't afford components so I ripped apart people old junk and desolder the parts and only bought what I couldn't obtain and this process has continued on from there. All of the fixed1t video fixes were done out of necessity for myself or to help others and then posted to help others who might want to try things themselves.  the fixed1t name came from repairing toys for a friends disabled son who had a habit of breaking them, I was there one bay when he deliberately broke something and was being told off and he turned to me and said "Uncle Malcolm Will FIXEDIT" but when I tried to use the name I discovered there were a lot of variations but no "fixed1t" thus fixed1t was born.

I still try to work on cheap solutions that most people could do with infinite patience. You may have noticed complaints from people about a few of my slow ambient compositions I put on my early videos, but I wrote them to be calming background pieces that help me relax and maintain my patience doing delicate slow work and for those who watch the entire video they'll see its by me fixed1t and its called "Patience Pays" and it does. They also complain my videos are tooooo looooong, without realising they are paced so that others can literally follow along pause, work move on, pause work. Alas people want instant 30 sec fixes, and thats the way to create crap fixes or to screw it up so bad that you end up throwing it away.

If you want to start fixing things, I suggest you go to a charity shop and buy the cheapest Quartz clock they have, take it home a slowly (taking picture as you go) dismantle it like this: . 

Then leave it a day or so and slowly put it back together. If you can remember how to just reverse you video and copy it slowly, I recommend that you have a calming or ambient piece of music in the background which will relax you and help you concentrate, it seriously helps and slows you down as your respiration will fall in with the music pattern and your heart rate will drop.

I find the 70s 80s electronic music from Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno or fixed1t useful ;-)

Save Money How to lengthen Two Short RJ45 Cat 5 Network Cables Using A C...

The out of the box Router or Broadband box come with short Cat 5 cables, they are often too short to use, but don't throw them away, with a couple of cheap effective connectors they can be easily joined together with a simple straight through connector.
